Irish Furniture is the creative innovation of Gabriel McKeagney, a fifth-generation village carpenter and woodcarver who hails from County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. Gabriel is a true master of his craft and has chosen to use his talents to recreate a lost element of Irish history: its artistry in woodwork. Working in the vein of the medieval village carpenter who created work specially commissioned by the local Irish chieftain, Gabriel’s work allows people to touch and feel something that had been destroyed by the ravages of time, weather, and foreign invaders.
Arising from his love of Irish culture, Gabriel was naturally enchanted by the haunting tones of the uilleann pipes, and has been playing the instrument for several years. This innate connection with Irish music, coupled with an element of American vitality, prompted Gabriel to create his original Irish Furniture.
Gabriel permanently moved to southern California in 1996, and in 1998, founded
Tempo Carpentry & Design, Inc. By providing its clients with exceptionally artistic and architecturally pure woodwork, TCD has become the foremost designer and maker of European woodwork in Orange County, CA.
Gabriel lives with his wife and three children in San Juan Capistrano, CA.

How much does packing and shipping cost? What shipping options are available?
Packing and ground shipping for the Bard’s Chair costs $135. Irish Furniture ships via FedEx Ground. Delivery typically takes five business days. Expedited shipping is available at an additional cost.
What packaging methods do we use?
Irish Furniture has carefully researched its packing procedures. Irish Furniture is packed in protective foam with air bag inserts inside durable boxing. Irish Furniture will arrive as a single piece of furniture, without the need for assembly.
Do you charge sales tax?
Irish Furniture is not responsible for collecting or submitting sales or use taxes for any states other than California. The customer is responsible for making sure all required taxes are paid. Irish Furniture will add a sales tax of 7.75% to all sales in California.
How do I order furniture from Irish Furniture?
If you are interested in ordering from Irish Furniture, please contact us, and we will fax or email you an Order Confirmation. Review the Order Confirmation form, and if all terms of sale are acceptable, sign and date the Order Confirmation and fax it back to us.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept payments through PayPal and personal checks. We do not accept credit cards at this time.
